Volume Booster has no accounts and no personal profile. Your boost level, equalizer bands and preferences are saved locally on your phone — the app never uploads them anywhere.

The Microphone permission is used only so the on-screen visualizer can react to the audio you're already playing. That audio is analyzed live on your device and is never recorded, saved or transmitted.

Is Volume Booster free?
Yes. Volume Booster is free to download and use, supported by ads. There's no subscription and no account required.
Does it work with headphones and Bluetooth speakers?
Yes. The boost and effects apply to your device's audio output — wired headphones, Bluetooth headphones and speakers, and the built-in speaker.
Why does it ask for the Microphone permission?
Only to power the live visualizer. Android labels this the "Microphone" permission, but the app doesn't listen to your surroundings — it reads the audio your phone is already playing so the spectrum can react to it. Nothing is recorded or uploaded. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Could boosting damage my speakers or hearing?
Very high volume for long periods can strain your hearing and your speaker. Raise the level gradually — the app shows a warning before high boosts — and keep it at a comfortable level.
Which Android version do I need?
Volume Booster runs on Android 9.0 (Pie) and newer.
Does it need an internet connection?
No — all audio processing happens on your device. An internet connection is only used to show ads and load configuration.
