Effective date: June 29, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Volume Booster (the “App”) handles information. We do not have user accounts and we do not ask you to provide personal details. The App shows ads and uses third-party services (provided by Google) for analytics, crash reporting, and configuration; those services collect limited information as described below.
We do not collect any personal information ourselves. The App has no sign-in and no servers we operate, and we do not receive your personal data directly. The only exception is if you choose to email us for support: we will then receive your email address and whatever you include in your message, and we use it solely to respond to you.
To show ads and to understand and improve the App, we use the following services from Google. They may automatically collect information from your device, including a device advertising identifier (Advertising ID), app instance identifiers, your IP address (from which an approximate, city-level location may be derived), device and operating-system information, in-app events and usage data, and diagnostic and crash data. This information is processed by Google under its own privacy policy.
Google AdMob (advertising). Displays ads in the App and may use the Advertising ID and related signals to serve and to personalize ads and measure their performance.
Firebase Analytics. Measures how the App is used (for example which features are opened) using pseudonymous identifiers, to help us improve it.
Firebase Crashlytics. Collects crash reports and related diagnostic data so we can find and fix stability problems.
Firebase Remote Config and In-App Messaging. Used to deliver configuration and in-app messages.
For more information, see Google’s Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy) and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services (policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites).
You can limit ad personalization at any time by resetting or deleting your Advertising ID in your device settings (Settings → Privacy / Google → Ads). If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before using your data for personalized ads, and you can change your choice later. You may also opt out of personalized Google ads at adssettings.google.com.
Microphone (audio capture). Android labels this the Microphone permission, but the App does not record from your microphone or listen to your surroundings. It is used only to read the audio your device is already playing, so the on-screen visualizer can react to it. This audio is analyzed in real time on your device and is never recorded, saved, or transmitted.
Notification access (optional). If you enable it, the App reads the current media session (track title, artist, artwork, and playback controls) only to show and control what is playing. This information stays on your device.
Modify audio settings. Used to apply the volume boost and equalizer effects to your device’s audio output.
Notifications and foreground service. Used to show the playback-control notification and keep audio effects active while you use other apps.
Your preferences (such as boost level, equalizer settings, and toggles) are saved in your device’s local app storage. If you use Android’s built-in backup, your device may include them in your own encrypted system backup, which is handled by Google under its own privacy policy; the App itself never uploads them anywhere. Uninstalling the App removes its local copy. Data collected by the third-party services described above is handled and retained by Google under its own policies.
We do not sell your personal information. Information collected by the third-party services above is shared with Google as the provider of those services, for advertising, analytics, and crash reporting as described in this policy.
We keep the little information we handle to a minimum and rely on the industry-standard safeguards of the platforms we use: data transmitted to Google’s services is sent over encrypted connections, and your on-device preferences are protected by Android’s app sandbox. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Depending on where you live (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. Because we do not maintain accounts or hold your personal data on our own servers, you can exercise most of these choices directly on your device — by resetting your Advertising ID, adjusting ad personalization, or uninstalling the App to remove its local data — and through Google’s own privacy controls for the data its services collect. For any other request, or to withdraw a consent you previously gave, email us at the address below and we will help.
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the App displays ads and uses analytics, please do not use it if you are under the age required by law in your country to consent to such data processing.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date shown above.
